[SGVLUG] live CD anti-virus scan on a NTFS/windows system

I once asked a Symantec employee about this.  He dismissed the idea that
Norton could ever be compomised.

For my kids' computer (which gets more viruses than a men's room
doorknob), I scan their drive from another MS machine via a USB adapter.
(Not sure if that catches registry issues, etc.)
