While MythTV may not be cheaper then Tivo, as far as start up price,
eventually the monthly fee will overcome that. It does not require
constant tweaking. In fact it requires none. It has features that Tivo
does not, example there new feature is the ability to schedule
recordings from cell phones. I did this years ago with MythTV's web
interface, and it did not cost me 5 dollars a month.

Not even about MythTV, it is about some other software. The first one
being windows based.
