I concur but I would also like to recommend Firefox as the default browser instead of IE.

Robert,

I've had good luck with NOD32 and McAfee. However, if you buy McAfee just
buy the Anti-virus not the other crap (if you need free AVG is a good
choice). Use WindowsXP's default firewall. Then use Windows Defender +
Ad-aware (or Spybot Search and Destroy) for malware/spyware. Lastly, use
Google or Microsoft's toolbar for pop-up blocking.

I've used that combo at home and have yet to have trouble.

Good luck.

Jason

Way off topic - I need some m$ antivirus software recommendations.

Wife running M$ XP on an AMD X2 system.

Very disappointed with Norton2005, as it keeps going to 100% and basically
freezing her system.

Any suggestions? As my home's geek, I feel responsible for keeping her
system as happy as possible. It seems my constantly pointing out how good
the Penguin is... doesn't seem to help (heh).
