[SGVLUG] recommendations on local (Pasadena) data restoration services?

A couple of things to try:

1. Mount it (read-only for safety) with the filesystem type specified.

2. Put the disk drive in the freezer for a few hours and try again.  I'm
not kidding--supposedly sometimes a drive on the edge of failing
completely can run error-free for a while when cold.
