Thanks, Matti, for pointing out that Chris will be presenting at our general meeting next week. I was just about to ask Mike if he would be ready to do two versions of his "potential" topic he mentioned the other day (video streaming was it?) -- a geeky, technical, in-depth version for our devsig meeting tomorrow and a flashy wow-factor version on thursday :)

As such, it appears we can still do the technical discussion (if you're ready for it...) or continue on with the multiplexed keyboard discussion we've been working on for the last few sessions -- either way it promises to be interesting.

For those of you curious about Devsig, it is a special-interest-group devoted to the deeper technical issues of Linux, with the focus being on development rather than everyday use of Linux (well, ok, development within Linux may be an everyday experience for some -- perhaps "development vs. end user experience" would be a better way of putting it...) Our meetings are currently held in the La Pintoresca Branch of the Pasadena library from 1:00pm until 3:00pm (or till the cows come home...)

Tom

p.s. We found out last meeting that wireless access IS available for anyone with a valid Pasadena library card -- don't have one? takes only a few minutes for them to create one for you and it is active immediately. Unfortunately, however, last month there was some sort of "problem" at the firewall between the internal (library) systems and the rest of the internet, so while we had connectivity and could properly log on, we couldn't get anything more than the home-page for wireless use within the library system.
